Trump Stunt 4 Years, 10 Months ago  
Seems like clever use of media to me; even those who hate Trump have to agree; he knows how to manipulate the media. The more they fall for his stunts and condemn him, the more his fans admire him and even those of us not on either side start thinking, as on the video, he has a way with media.

he could have just waved from a winnow like Ronald Regan did. Far less drama..plenty of press..

Frankly he looked a bit of a goose going for a short drive but JK may be right.

His latest follows your advice Hedda. Like you I'm no Trump fan but he's spot on about Covid19 - a trivial virus for the vast majority; not needing the panic endorsed by global governments believing media hype. Look at France today. Virtually no "serious" cases.
