A clear sign we are in this for the long haul; despite the mounting evidence the rules don't achieve anything, and all the pain they will cause.

I can think of cheaper way for people to obey the rules. If they caught breaking the curfew then make them listen to Styx albums back to back.

These marshal's have no real power they are deterrents and probably fired bouncers and security guards. "Dead weight" we use to call them.

Pacing autumnal streets they will stop occasionally at the sound of laughter, and peer over privet hedges until silence is restored. Noses to letterboxes, they will smell out dissent. Indoors, the somnolent populace will recline on sofas; stupefied by cheap wine, virtual reality television shows (which will gain a huge resurgence in popularity now real reality is ancestral...) and smart phones. Over the years the Marshalls will grow older on streets reclaimed by foxes and badgers. Clouds will drift by more lonely than any person. Suns will set to no human eyes. Babies will cry for the parks they will never run in. And the old-timers will nod and whisper about a long forgotten god called "rnumber"....

My life hasn't that been interesting it's just work, work and work. I ventured out on holidays and saw gaps in the markets and investment opportunities.

Chile is a wonderful country, I went there for a holiday however I went to a vineyard and winery just by chance. When we got shown around I was in awe wanted to be part of it. So I became searching for investment opportunities. I went to supermarket's and looked at the wine labels. Visited as many vineyards as possible.

An owner of one asked for I was looking at to taste or to buy stock. I said I want to invest more than anything. He smiled, took me to a very smart office and got talking.

I like to be the silent partner of things, invest but let the higher ups and corporate do their thing and I just receive a cheque every few months.

I always suggested hire good marketers and tell them them what you like to have. Being a minority shareholder is always good also because they can buy you out quickly for a huge amount.

My Cypriot brother in law went to Lativa because it's famous for its cocktails and underground bars. He did exactly what I did in Canada, saw a gap in the market.

He wanted me to be business partners with him, so I threw money in and went scouting around for premises. I suggested how we should have a members only cocktail bar. We got invitations printed and gave them to very posh and well dressed people.

Him being a Cypriot is a plus because he's actually tall and dark with very smooth chat. It was easy getting the clientele we wanted.

Despite the fact the overwhelming majority of doctors & nurses around the world (all those 100,000s in hospitals worldwide dealing with Covid) saying something different (of course they could all be wrong but they are at the "coal face" so one expects they have first hand experience).

This is the world we live in today : the vast majority of "experts" say one thing but a soul "expert" (who may very well be right not that any of us know) says something else and because it confirms your own amateur beliefs it's taken as gospel.

And the fact that sole professor says something and the Daily Mail published it ..therefore it must have value.

Colour me skeptical and not at all a tiny bit cynical that even health professionals like some time in the spotlight as well.

OK Hedda we all know very little about this virus but, like flu, we are working on a vaccine and, like flu, it demanded common sense precautions not belief in the media hype. By over reacting to the hype, this has had far more disastrous consequences than the virus itself. Of course it's not a hoax but neither is it a plague. Australia has been virtually untouched - compare the number of deaths connected to it to other causes. And Indonesia - half as many cases as the UK so far and a quarter as many deaths. We know you adore the media - don't we all? But don't allow yourself to be fooled by it.

160 children in Indonesia have died "with Covid" because of a particular problem with undernutrition.

We don't need Covid 19 for this.

In 2018 3.1 million children died from undernutrition.

2018 was not an anomalous year for global passivity allowng millions of kids to die. It is the norm.

But let's get animated about Covid instead...
