My favourite film as a teenager was The Man Who Knew Too Much; I suspect my love for Marrakech started there; certainly my adoration for Doris Day. Little could I know that decades later she'd sing one of my songs (hefty PRS cheques arrive every 6 months). Hard to believe there would be much PRS money still coming in for that recording. It was recorded by Doris Day in 1985 for a TV show but never released on CD until 2014 when it was included on a compilation of rarities and some previously unreleased recordings.
