TOPIC: Three cheers for Theresa May
#202850
Three cheers for Theresa May 4 Years, 9 Months ago
She was a lousy PM and a worse Home Secretary but she's spot on about Covid19. This is a trivial virus for most people and neither politicians nor media do us any favours hyping it into a plague requiring hysterical over reaction, laws and lockdowns.

My children are not permitted to have a school photo taken together this year. They are in separate "bubbles" in different year groups, so clearly could cross-contaminate their classes.

The flaw in this logic - to my mind - is that they live in the same house; so do spend a fair amount of time together already.

Still, times move on, and who I am I to question the wisdom of the New Order...

It strikes me that our response to Covid has taken on a religious dimension.

By definition, religions can't be supported through reason, because they require faith. Has the self-interested media fervor created a new religion? And no matter what facts are presented, this has all now gone so far, that reason is beside the point to believers, and won't be useful in trying to loose them from their dogma and credos?
