I've cheated and watched the final episode; I found it rather disappointing actually; could have been far better and more subtle. But Hugh Laurie's performance saved it; he really is tremendous; never better than in the final episode. He's turned into a terrific actor (I loved him in The Night Manager; largely filmed in my Marrakech hotel whilst I was there - where I almost met him!).
