They are saying the vaccine stops 70 percent of people from getting symptoms, but they have been saying that around that many dont show symptoms anyway.

Or am I having a stupid moment?

They are saying that the vaccine does not at this stage (that would be stage 2) stop you getting the virus, but does stop the virus getting to the symptomatic stage with 80 - 90% of people.

Yes 80 plus % of people are asymptomatic naturally from the whole population.

But with the vaccine targeted at say the 20% most vulnerable, 80% of that 20% becoming non symptomatic basically cuts out the deaths we have seen.

You are applying the 80% to everyone. Think about 80% of the 20% most vulnerable (or even 90%) not becoming ill at all - and it makes sense.

Would taking the vaccine live on TV be proof enough of its long-term safety?

We should get them on round the clock TV and study them like Philip Zimbardo did during the Standford Prison Experiment. MP's love to think of us as plebs as they do our thinking for us, so maybe we should do the same.

They do thinking? I haven't seen much evidence of that for a while.

I am pleased that the vaccine will not be compulsory, because I felt obliged to refuse it in protest, and I really cant be bothered.
