Covid19 media panic in America 4 Years, 8 Months ago
About 655,000 Americans die each year from heart diseases. 650,000 cancer. 270,000 sepsis. 50,000 pneumonia. 45,000 Flu. 279,000 so far from Covid19; almost all elderly/near death. Very nasty but no plague.

No Honey; it is more serious for those of us vulnerable and even lethal for some, as is Flu, the Common Cold, Sepsis etc. But it is no plague and for the majority it is a trivial virus. Some countries and medical systems have handled it worse than others - i.e. the first wave where 5 countries had a Death to Cases ration of around 25% where the rest of the world were under 5%.

People close to death are liable to die for a variety of reasons. And this absurd new "testing" game implies Covid19 is a worse "plague" than colds or flu but very few ever got tested for colds or flu. I certainly didn't.

No, you dont get tested for colds and flu, but you dont expect a stream of flu-sufferers to be let into your house to infect you, which is what is STILL happening with covid patients in the nursing homes.
Not a real plague, but it would feel like one.

I think the whole thing is ridiculous. We just needed to follow the basic rules of infection control, and the more silly rules they make the further away from it we go.

Ken’s been triggered again - everybody knows that COVID isn’t a plague. Let’s put this all into context: only two of the diseases listed are contagious ie. spread by bacteria or viruses; these are flu and pneumonia. Using your own figures for a typical year in the USA in which there weren’t any lockdowns, no social distancing and no mask wearing, the combined fatality rate for both is 95,000. Compare that with the current year so far in which we have had lockdowns, social distancing and mask wearing and you still get a figure of 279,000 deaths from COVID in just nine months! Imagine how many coronavirus deaths we would be witnessing without the restrictions ...

It's a NEW virus Fried Brains; of course the effects will be worse until we find and deliver a vaccine. OF COURSE some will die if health systems get it wrong when it starts (Death Five). The fact is - after media hype we all over reacted - understandable; when media tells you it's a plague you rush to hospital with the sniffles.

This is a peach of an example of the muddle-headed thinking of most people on this subject.

There is no evidence whatsoever that lockdowns and mask wearing have made any significant difference to C19 death rates, and mounting country-comparative studies that it has no impact on them.

Yet posters such as this are so brain-washed by the last year they don't even stop to ask the fundamental questions.

I don't think these questions even occur to them anymore, if they ever did.

No. There is evidence that Biden won and none that Trump did.

You see how it works?

You cant compare figures from before the "pandemic" to after, because there are too many behavioural changes that will either cause death, or save lives. (without including the actual virus)
