Yes very sad news; met him once on a memorable occasion - wrote to him in prison and he wrote me a long letter back. A near genius.

I don't think Covid killed him - he has been ill health for years and diets in prison are not good.

Yes he was a complete madman but had a great ear for music.

I have no idea of his guilt, of course, but I always thought that the "good story" of the ultimate music producer being jailed for murder scuppered his chances of a fair trial.

Yes I just saw it on the news.. PS in his younger years was a maverick musical producer and visionary.

I bought his CD boxed set years ago and love his production of “White Christmas” by Darlene Love amongst many of his other works.

Nice find Sausage.

I was a landlord 20 years ago in a pub with an old fashioned jukebox which worked like a charm. Be My Boy was played a lot by the regulars.
