Interesting post over on the Tipsheet forum... 4 Years, 6 Months ago
from someone who used to work for Mike Ashwell (MickyOne here) in the 1970s. I see the thread has had over 5000 views since his death 8 years ago. It amuses me how history changes; in many ways online has become the Library of the past. Seeking info on Mike, the gentleman (in, I assume, Australia) logged on, Googled and was point at KingOfHits.com. We must be one of the oldest sites - started in the 1990s. Valuable as a result. I get so many E-Mails (KingOfHits@aol.com) from people getting in touch who read something on here, don't want to contribute but need to comment. The world has adapted over the decades. These superficial days, a few words is often all people can put together; so Twitter is huge. Facebook has become popular. Google replaced Yahoo. My Space died. Friends Reunited disappeared. But KingOfHits rambles on.

Don't forget Gab is becoming popular due to censorship on Twitter and Facebook. Gab has it own servers, video site like Youtube, web browser and so on. This is what Parler failed to do and now became part of Internet history like AskJeeves.

I have heard interesting stories about people who used Friends Reunited it was mainly used by baby boomers but a financial cost. Where Facebook is free and Myspace was only good for unsigned bands and singers.
