Schools are the main source of Covid infections for everyone but need to be reopened first.

Why open schools when the government and elitists will teach the current and future generations. All books will supplied by them to home addresses. School uniforms will be a thing of the past remember “You won’t anything but you will be happy”. That includes everything even cars - if you want one you have to hire one instead. Cheap cars will be defunct because there be no more petrol or diesel sold at petrol stations. Only electric cars and they are fucking expensive.

I cant understand why they don't move the classes into the open air from next month, open at weekends and through the holidays to catch up?
They cant just declare schools safe or unsafe while doing absolutely nothing to change it.

You don't need to "follow the science" to realise that if thirty people are breathing together in a stuffy room there will be frequent infections passed into the wider community.

Saying they are opening "come what may" sounds good, but in practice the poor children have been in and out of school like a grim hokey cokey because of people isolating and being taken ill. (or having a false positive. What a farce that is!)

It has been a farce and as always the disadvantaged kids will fall behind. No money has been made available to make infections spread less. With wide testing half the perfectly healthy teaching staff will be off work. Just one of the endless absurdities when a Gov pretends it can control the spread of an air borne virus.

A lot of schools were open on Saturdays for a few hours for extra education. An open class in a playground or field sounds a good idea. Add separate desks and scatter around - let students use their laptops and the school's WIFI.

I have no idea how the 16+ are going to get a job this year and or the next unless they it's Amazon or supermarket work.

Middle class kids like mine will be fine. They have two educated devoted parents at home. They miss their friends but haven't fallen behind. Millions of kids will not have been so fortunate.

I don't actually think this Gov doesn't care. That's too easy. They just only focus on what is on the front page; and then badly.

They lack leadership, integrity and vision - well not even that, just common sense.
