Reclaim these streets. 4 Years, 5 Months ago
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9353343...m-streets-march.html

Why do I have sense that men know that innocent men will know be victims of falsehood ? I Would not be surprised that there will be a curfew and that Gentleman Clubs will be demolished which are strictly for members anyway.

There has been many unprovoked attacks on blokes just either by walking past someone or looking at someone the wrong way or been ashamed of their wife's and girlfriends were hitting. (In my pub days, I used to give a gentleman the room upstairs so he didn't have to go back to his vile wife, because no one else would help)

The officer exposed himself and was reported but The Met ignored guess they were to busy with catching online Twitter trolls.

Obviously an upsetting case but from what I read there were 683 murders in the UK last year.

It may sound callous but why is this awful event worse than the others?

Because it happened in a predominantly upper middle class area?

Maybe because it was done by a copper and both were white. It seems odd to me that a Met cop lives in Kent but works in London, maybe he has done numerous crimes in the past and got away with it - I wouldn't say it's his first murder either.

If there's a 6PM curfew for men then there has to be a curfew for women - women commit crimes just the same but get a lesser sentence.

Women actually get sentenced to prison and longer sentences disproportionately more than men GM. But yes the whole idea of the curfew is ridiculous. It is another extreme, simplistic reaction that misses the point.

The vast majority of sexual and physical violence to women occurs in their own homes (probably 99% of it). So let's make it worse in a grand woke gesture and make that drunk, angry man unable to leave the house and his wife and kids after 6pm. Let's drive up the domestic murder rate (which has gone up a lot in our pointless lockdown amyway...). Let's get the kids cowering behind sofas in their homes even more as Daddy lays into mummy.

The 6pm curfew for men will never happen; but how did certain sections of the commentariat get so bloody stupid so fast?

It is "lockdown thinking"; we have lost all sense of proportion and will now tolerate any amount of harm so long as it is not the harm the media are banging on about at any given time.

In the past, a pub near me refused to sell Stella Artois because it was nicknamed "Wife Beater" by the police. When police were turning up to sort out a domestic - their flats or houses were littered Stella Artois cans in almost every case. I want to know how anyone can drink it in the first place ?

You have remember Wyot a lot of men won't report they are being abused by their partners. I hated it when their mates use to say "man up" if they did their wives will play the victim.

Yep GM a curfew would be counter-productive in homes where the female is the abuser too! No one would ever suggest women should be locked up at home of course; you have to be a guilty by association male for that sort of thing...

But we are effectively locked in our own homes unless we are accompanied.

I am not suggesting for a minute that anybody should be curfewed, but it is interesting that men are suddenly outraged at the thought of having to do something that women have had to put up with for ages.

I read somewhere that you are most likely to suffer violence as a young black male from another young black male.

However, most women would rather be beaten up a hundred times than raped. (it happens to men too)

A caller on LBC said something very similar this morning with Nick Ferrari.

I like Nick ferrari, but I haven't heard LBC for ages. I had to take it off my phone because it chews through the battery, I don't know why?

LBC is nothing like it used to be - however Legal Hour with Clive Bull is very important, but why do callers up with the same complaint as the last caller and get the same answer ?
