It is chilling how trivial the reasons can be for someone to make false claims of rape.

I agree Honey, it reminds me of women who pretend to be pregnant to get back at an ex or a bloke after a one night stand.

All it does just causes stress, panic, false hope, heartbreak and ruins a new relationship.

Younger males are far more likely to be victims of violence in public and suicide than women. I think it is a good thing to raise awareness of the harrassment many women face and for men to raise their awareness. I will cross the road at night or turn off if walking behind a lone woman. The more men that think like this or get called out by other men if being inappropriate the better. Let's shame men who harrass and make it socially unacceptabke like drink driving now is. But don't conflate rape with a wolf-whistle either in judging others or criminal sanctions. And remember the young men; not just the woke story of the moment.

Majority of men will turn back and walk another route or cross over if they see a lone woman at night. If I see a group a youths I do the same thing also. Most women walk quickly if they see a bloke at night or use a phone, If I can't walk another route, then I stop have a cigarette and leave it for 10 minutes then carry on walking home or to a friends.
