One wonders how many would have spotted the subject matter had a name not been used in the lyric?

Yes and the point JK seems to be making is how the media exagerate but they are doing the same thing now. How can a reporter ask a relative "does this sort of thing upset you?" when she and the paper are carrying the story? Unbelievable.

Shipman means circulation. To hell with feelings.

Interesrting reading the comments on You Tube though.... both the pro and the anti seem equally to misunderstand his points.

It took the Manchester Evening News a long time to pick up on this song. But maybe, JK, you can send them a 'thank you' note when the sales of this song begin to soar from the extra free publicity.

I've been waiting for this to happen. When I first saw the Shipman video, I did find it quite tasteless, and told Jonathan so here. He defended it very well, but I was concerned it would be picked up by the press, and used to 'prove' that Jonathan really is Satan incarnate. Buy one Demon get one free, only in the News Of The world on Sunday!!!

>>The song is put together with a montage of pictures of Shipman and some of his victims.<<

Quote from the Manchester paper. Where did Jonathan put up pictures of the victims? Did they watch the video? Obviously not!

Hi Johnathan - just like to say that whether or not you are the odious smirking vile pervert as the media claim, if you write one more song , I hope they throw away the key. The public may eventually forgive you for paedophilia but the abuse of musical good taste is inviolate, for god sake no more dreary dirges or naff pop we beg of you.
Bye.
PG.

After reading some of the comments on the MEN story about Jonathan have they ever considered the fact that he may be innocent and a victim of a gross miscarriage of justice, several comments focused on JK's lack of remorse for the crimes he was convicted of. How can someone show remorse for something they have not done.(I dont know if hes guilty or not, only JK knows that). It's all too easy for people to jump on the bandwaggon and believe everything that is printed in newspapers.
