Yes different countries work out statistics in different ways and the clue is that the Mail refers only to the "most common" cancers. I find it interesting because it implies that the media deliberately tries to exaggerate - up or down - to fit their agenda. If there are only 80 deaths a day in the average year from cancer, my opinion that Covid was a trivial virus before vaccines becomes suspect. If there were 450 deaths a day from cancer - it supports my opinion on Covid. And if the figure of 80 has been deliberately selected it implies that media DOES interpret figures and publish them in a way that supports the agenda.
You see the figures from China (90K cases; 4600 deaths) can be explained by media, politicians and "experts" as a country "massaging down" the truth. The figures from Australia (30K cases; 910 deaths) can be explained as brilliant use of lockdown. We can go around the world explaining why everywhere outside the Death Five have had hardly any deaths from - or "with" - Covid, and give different reasons.
But the reality is that only the Death Five had many deaths before vaccines. Look at the figures in France (below). And even those deaths, when taken as comparison to every day death rates (mostly the elderly - old people DO tend to die) - are tiny.
Unless you want a "better story".
