People will be damning the 6 clubs involved in the UK, but I don't kid myself that my team Southampton would do anything different.

European football authorities have simply lost control, to big business, of the only really global sport which offers the highest return on investment available anywhere.

All through inept governance, and being out manoeuvred by Wall Street and others. JP Morgan's strategic and pivotal role in the new Super League is noteworthy.

Yep Cary this is effectively a hostile takeover because of the billions the big clubs have lost due to Covid restrictions. The sole aim is to make money for an elite.

Millions will enjoy the new spectacle and some will say not? For me it depends on how you view football. Football in the new super league will be competetively closed: the same clubs competing over & again in a kind of football reality TV show. It will be hyped and glamorous and showcase terrific players; but it will be the same show week in week out.

TV spectacle or competitive sport from the grass roots up is the choice? And it will be a choice because the money will follow the superleague and drain further from elsewhere; whatever spin they put on it.

I have no idea why people are moaning. Scottish football is shit because it’s only either Celtic or Rangers who wins the league.

Sky Sports have been fleecing pub landlords for decades to show live games, no that a league wants to make more money they are moaning, are they scared if BT Sports get the rights people will turn off?

Very true - just like the top tennis players and golfers, who concentrate on grand slam events and majors. And F1 drivers who only compete in GPs.

Fans want to see the best football teams and players and the EPL has astounded everyone; the most popular league and seen in every country.

The Super League will do the same, and the amateur game will suffer. With billionaires becoming multibillionaires, and more Accrington Stanley's.

Off-seasons (if there's time for them) will consist of lucrative tours for SL teams to China, the Far East and the US. All fast growing markets for the game.

China are now the super power of the world, WEF dream of reset is getting nearer. Super League will target the super wealthy and that’s the goal. You won’t own nothing but you’ll be happy, so then season tickets will become defunct. The broadcasting rights will be a battle and tour packages for the games will be sold by the clubs and maybe the odd travel agent like Thomas Cook or Trip.com Group both Chinese companies.
