Well the BBC sack another old white person in name of diversity.
I met David Allen years ago at a function, a very polite person he is and Roger Day was like a very naughty schoolboy but wonderful story teller. I only listen to Allen a handful of times if I was in Hampshire and Wiltshire area for work, especially only to hear traffic reports.
BBC fail to realise who listens to the radio these days, youths prefer streaming services or alternative stations. I give you an example. If I’m in Hampshire you hear community stations like Andover Radio, Wave and Voice FM. In Weymouth it’s hard to get away from Wessex FM who do have a very nostalgic playlist.
I only listen to LBC mainly Dean Dunham and if I can be bothered it’s Nick Ferrari also. Or when I’m in Northern Ireland I listen to Downtown Radio.
If I’m in CEX selling old phones and devices then it’s Kerrang or Absolute 80’s depending on the branch.
