She loves the media attention. A few years ago I walked past her after she got out of her car; in which was an extremely average looking car. Whilst Caroline Quentin has a posh black car which is or was chauffer driven.

It's probably just me but I find big houses crass, give me a quaint cottage or a house by a lake any day.

So zero news on a Gary Glitter tour comeback ? Yet Led Zeppelin is played everywhere, how I cringed inside when the pub bands would cover Led Zep on their set, one singer of a band we would hire for a Friday night. he would imagine he was both Daltrey, Jimmy Page and Elvis all in to one.

A friend of mine saw Rolling Stones in the early 90's, he was picked on ruthless by us. We were saying things to him like "Are you young enough ?" "Did they hand out sweets ?" "Did they tell you to keep secret ?"

It's amazing Hedda, that Gary Glitter had it ALL even sold out arenas in USA, huge tours just a year or 2 prior his arrest, Rock n Roll Part 2 played in NHL games, of course used in the The Joker (great movie BTW) and sampled by Oasis.

Then he pissed it all away because he couldn't his urges under control, he probably still be doing tours even today.

I heard from some locals when I worked in a pub in Somerset for a while. When his property was attacked in Somerset by his local neighbours apparently he was enjoying the attention, some were pissing through in his letterbox and posted dog shit also, I have no idea if it's true. Some one else said he always had young girls around but when questioned he always had an answer he would turn like a switch and be very angry and fiery it just seemed a odd.

Maybe Tessa didn't know what was going on at first but realized, then used the opportunity to try and expose him in a stealthy way I think on the programme.

I never really got why he was so popular due to the fact he was short, podgy, limited vocal range, his Elvis style songs are a dirge and he wore the most obvious and ridiculous wigs known to man. The songs were written by Mike Leander and his backing bands did all the work.

Pete Townshend has a lot to answer to no-one in their right looks a dodgy site via credit card to "To see what was there" he knew exactly what would be there. I always found Pete to be odd and creepy even before his arrest. It's like The Who all had issues even Roger seems to have anger problems.

I had no idea he was fan because he always played things like Hot Tuna, CCR, George Thorogood and Bob Seeger. He said talking to "The Who and shaking hands with them was the same as talking and holding dead fish".

Then I again I found Mike Love to be an arrogant bore.

I was in LA and had lunch with some film folk about a possible Who involvement in a film & they said they were bringing The Who's most fanatical US fan..which they did : Jim Carey
