I can't believe the U.S Army will be like the French Army (weak). Then again look at the recruitment videos for UK with things like "Can I be gay in the Army ?". I hope Biden and Boris has Putin under speed dial, so if there's a war the Russians will do it for the for U.S.A and UK.

I love the film "Stripes" with Bill Murray where he and his equally slobbish flat mate enlist in the US army and are asked if they are or ever have been homosexual? Murray pauses and says something like, "do you mean flaming or just so-so...?"

Just today an odd film popped on the teeve.. Our Miss Fred. Danny La Rue as a drag artist caught in France by the Nazis during WW2. Lots of double entendres that fell flat unlike in a Carry On movie

I met Danny, in the early 1990's he was such a gentleman, it wasn't on stage but in bar he was in civvies.
