Seeing this celebrated Carry On Camping prop get sold today reminds me of when I bumped into Babs in Cannes (and, later, in Marylebone). We chatted for ages - she was by then in EastEnders where my sister-in-law had been (and still is) an original cast member and Babs described her as "my favourite person in the cast". A totally sweet, genuine lady. Highly amused that I had a huge crush on her as a schoolboy when I saw her in FINGS.

Talking of bras, anyone tempted by a "Triumph Doreen" in lilac, please don't bother.
I laughed my head off when I unwrapped it to discover that what they call "Lilac" is actually the sludgy colour they all go after they are washed with everything else.
At least it matches most of the others!

Jane my beloved sister in law and Mother of my two eldest nephews. I don't think Anna was in it from the start. Jane was there from Episode 1. Ditto the boy who platys Ian Beale.

The "Ian Beale" actor is terrific. I only watch EastEnders now and then, but always when there is an Ian story coming up.
I think he has taken a long break to go on a camping tour, which sounds like a great idea.

I saw Michaela Strachan in the early 90s and was very surprised how she plain and average she actually looked, not forgotten how terribly boring she is.
