Mainly because I am currently on holiday in Rome and the Olympico Stadium is just down the road and I've been there several times, but also because I admire the fans who bother, during this StupidCovid quarantine time, to come to games to support their team and country. So on Sunday I am WELSH. Apart from anything else I thought Wales played really well the other night and a game against a superb team like Italy should be good. I might even bump into Gareth Bale in our hotel. And I am interested to see how the Italians protect us all from this killer plague by treating it as a variant of flu.

Great game Portugal/Germany; probably best game so far. Tomorrow I'm "taking the leek".

A terrific game with Wales managing to stop the best team in the contest - Italy - to only one goal and very nearly equalising (another Bale mis-shot; second time in two games his kick has been aimed at the moon). Very efficiently run in Rome's Stadium Olympico.
