Why should diversity be an end in itself? Why not just try and hire the best person for the position forgetting gender or race and make quality of outcome the end?

I've always found it ridiculous; I remember having an argument with a queen in San Francisco when filming Entertainment USA in the gay Castro district - I said hiring people because of their sexual orientation was stupid. He called me anti gay!

Yes I have always thought that if one is genuinely indifferent to sexuality or race etc then you don't spend lots of time thinking about it and developing policies about it. The world is obsessed by it all at the moment!

This made me laugh. I had one inspector who bottled it when he saw gun parts on newspapers that I was cleaning - never had one since. If you see one of these salesman knocking ignore them or just pretend to cough and say it's 'covid'. These people are bullies and deserve what they get.

I like your idea. Another would be to "double mask" and make unintelligible mumbling noises to all questions, while gesturing to your ears to show you also can't understand them through their masks. Roll your eyes violently every 30 seconds or so as well while clenching and un clenching your fists. Additionally - if required - chat to an invisible squirrel running around your feet.

In my experience with TV Inspectors or children at Halloween, most will move on...

I knew a gunsmith who had to 'repair' an genuine American Civil War rifle called M1819 Hall rifle, he took the finish off completely and damaged the lock.
