Andrea Constand's memoir The Moment tells her story of standing up to Bill Cosby and speaking up for women

"The Moment will be published on Sept. 7, 2021"

Andrea Constand: The Lesbian Accuser Who Took Down Bill Cosby

"[she] came out publicly in 2015 as a lesbian to challenge her attacker’s assertion that he knew how to read the desires of the women he assaulted."

Cosby's Trial Kicks Off With His Lawyer Painting Lesbian Accuser as a 'Con Artist'

"In his deposition from 2005 that was made public in 2015, Cosby admitted that he had no idea Constand was gay until police informed him."

Very pleased for Bill, but the experience has taken its toll.

Judging from news videos on YouTube, accusers have been expressing their outrage that this blind octogenarian isn't still in jail.

It looks as if he may face yet more legal proceedings.

Bill Cosby accusers' attorney Gloria Allred says she'll proceed with civil suit against him

"The suit alleges that Cosby sexually abused the accuser as a child while at the Playboy mansion"

Makes you wonder what a child was doing at the Playboy mansion, but Hugh Hefner is no longer around to deny it.

Only one other accuser was allowed to testify at his first trial of June 2017. Jurors deliberated for 52 hours over 6 days without reaching a verdict. It was the longest deliberation in the history of Montgomery County.

The second trial came around six months after the launch of the MeToo movement. Five new accusers were allowed to testify. It took jurors only 14 hours over 2 days to reach the guilty verdict.

The focus of jury deliberations during the second trial seemed to have shifted from the issue of consent to drugs. This is reflected in the accounts of two young jurors (both aged 22) from each trial.

Bobby Duggan from the first trial stated: “if you quit just like that you could be getting away with something...you've got to be extra sure whether he is guilty or not guilty. You always want to be that extra sure.”
“We all said it a million times in the room," the 21-year-old said. "If there's other evidence, more substantial evidence, we would have had a better verdict than deadlocked."

When the juror of the second trial was asked why a guilty verdict had been reached, he replied: “I think it was [Cosby’s] deposition that he admitted to giving quallaudes to women in order to have sex with them.”

Apologies, the videos in my previous post relate to the first trial.

Here are the interviews of the two 22 year old jurors from each trial:

Very interesting, md.

The juror from the second trial says Cosby admitted to giving women Quaaludes but this article says "While Cosby admitted that he acquired seven prescriptions of Quaaludes with the intent to give the sedatives to young women he wanted to have sex with, he has not admitted to actually drugging any of his accusers."

edition.cnn.com/2015/07/07/us/bill-cosby...legations/index.html

He apparently also didnt say in the deposition whether he gave women Quaaludes without their knowledge, because his attorney objected to the question.

That article also says that while some women claim he used beverages to drug them, Constand and other women are claiming he gave them a pill, which they took.

Woman alone with man, man hands woman pill, woman takes pill, sexual activity ensues = sexual assault?

Woman takes pill, woman doesn't report sexual assault at the time but does so years later = reframing of a consensual encounter as sexual assault?

What these women seem to want people to believe is that they were as innocent as five-year-olds and took the pill because he was Dr Huxtable.

If SJS had lived as long as his older sister what kind of world would we live in now? I daydream about a Court case with him alive, then I get real and realise it would never have got to Court through lack of credible evidence.

It saddens me how many "BLAME" SJS for their own false accusations. Big sigh!

I think times are changing Amanda. As more and more people start seeing the False Allegations Industry for what it is, the likelihood of a major court case exposing the "enablers" rises.

I think the principal of justice is more important than an individual case, so even if I believed that Cosby had raped the women I would be pleased that a flaw in the system was spotted and corrected.
The two things are not connected.

Or are we only allowed to think and feel one thing at a time now?

I bet the poor woman will be hounded until she breaks.

The resistance is high though.

One of Hedda's ( for it is she)new found conservatism (not the current loopy "free market corporatism") is that the false allegations business is still rampant in Australia, probably New Zealand as well. Basically anywhere the Brits have had their dirty Puritan fingers (USA !)

IE: The persecution of George Pell (so awaiting the coming prosecutions in Iraly which my Italian pal says will drop time bombs), the ghastly Oz "50 Minutes" and it's Lords Ladies etc claptrap where every "witness" has now bee discredited.

The appalling manner in which all Australian media to a man / woman failed to print the story of discredited and accused rapist Peter Saunders who (whilst never having met the man) was widely reported in his false accusation "Cardinal Pell is a psychopath" and so much more.

The fact that the odious Tom Watson is given a well paid berth in of ll places, the music industry.

Hell hath no Fury like a Media Gack Scorned.

The media will fight tooth and nail to keep the convictions coming but then like the hackery they are, turn on sixpence and go the opposite way.
