Sense finally.... 4 Years, 1 Month ago
Finally some sense being talked by a senior Government Minister; and the health secretary at that:

Encouraging.

They aren't accidental GM; much discussion will have gone into them, and Boris will have known his views and wanted him in that position in contrast to Hancock. I sense even this Gov has had enough now...

The news this morning and now Vallance, Whitty, Ferguson, Johnson - as well as Javid - and some commentators on BBC news all talking sense. Covid won't go away. Vulnerable vaccinated. If we don't open up now when? Some will still die so be prepared for that. NHS will cope now. Lockdowns are not without costs and this needs to be considered (bit slow to the party, but welcome). In short the establishment (apart from pathetic, opportunistic Starmer) starting to sound like me. Happy days; happy summer. Goodbye panicdemic & conspiracy theories...

I sense a winter lockdown or for the goalposts to move again.

I don’t trust Boris.

If you were PM and wanted to keep lockdowns on the table - if you were up to something - why would you start talking about all the harm lockdowns do and have the key people around you do the same?

If I was PM there would be no lockdowns. Masks would be optional like the vaccine.

Winter lockdowns are very likely in England.

So nobody will suspect that in just over a week you won't in fact lift any restrictions you raise most peoples hopes because dashed hopes are better than realising now that we won't be free. My head is spinning!
But I suspect you were being ironic
