but I'm really looking forward to tonight. I do like Denmark - my favourite Scandinavian country - I usually support the smaller countries - Belgium; Croatia; Iceland - who punch so much above their size. But clearly today and Sunday I have to back England. I am, after all, English although, after Brexit, I call myself a Londoner.
As for Sunday, how could ANYONE beat either Italy or Spain after the effort shown in that match? Again I hope SAKA is in (but Grealish and Sterling look strong and Kane is back). It is that constant, speedy energy that impressed from both Spain and Italy.
Again we see media exaggeration or hype - I'm certain Merkel never said to Boris "60,000 fans is too much". A clear example of media manufacture. Those of us in the media for 60 odd years are aware of how it works. Plus ca change. Sadly the gullibles fall for it every time which can cause problems (as Raducanu found). Let's hope the media hype of England doesn't kill us.
Into extra time - 1-1 - not nearly as good a game as yesterday's so far; very much two second division teams playing each other. Great Danish goal though.

Italy all the way still for me; but you never know....
Still, great achievement and I have a feeling it may turn out closer than we think as Spain, for me, were the classier side Tues. The Italians can be got at...
I think - whatever happens - the clever and classy management of Southgate is the true winner.
