Whatever happens now, surely Gareth Southgate deserves a knighthood, especially with how they hand them out like smarties these days.

The knighthoods are a farce. To get a knighthood it required people to some very courageous now it's winning trophies for some sport.

Courage is many things. Standing up to a bully, who delibrately won't appreciate or understand your view? Aren't all the rest so stupid.

Or asking WHY - without ever getting an answer. Those that do - deserve to be honoured, not pilloried.

Just like Mandela, Wilberforce and Ghandi. Two of these were imprisoned, for even suggesting what would happen. Fairness, equality and democracy.

To those who help the disadvantaged and not being totally self centred; Knighthoods are well deserved for those who are worthy.

It's been the same for decades, go back to 1966, Sir Alf Ramsey. Sir Stanley Matthews also,the first and only player to receive a knighthood whilst still playing football professionally.

It's the way of the world and gas been for donkeys years.
