So about 40 years ago, having fallen in love with Italy, I decided to buy a second home there. Found a delightful small one bedroom on the front at Ostia. For about £10,000 - a lot those days but I was earning a fortune with my silly hits. That was about one day's income. Went all through the "process" until the Italian lawyers called me with bad news; the seller didn't actually own it. So it all fell through. The entire building has now been demolished and replaced by a five star hotel. Check out my photos.
