TOPIC: I just had a great massage
#210499
I just had a great massage 4 Years ago
and the Chinese lady told me I have the body of a 50 year old.
To any younger posters this would be an insult.
But as a 76 year old that felt good!

I reckon these two are my age. In the pool today - made me think my 5 hours a day swimming is a very good health idea!

Lucky you. Never had a massage in my life. And I'm 62 next Friday.

They look like amphibious life forms who would struggle to move on dry land....

Well done JK.

My biggest regret is not learning how to swim.

I think the Chinese lady may have been trying to sell you something extra.

But yes, nothing better than swimming.

AND... will you please stop calling yourself old!

I know you have had the terrible shock of the unjust conviction and harassment, which I think you have recovered from very well indeed, but apart from this, everything in your life so far points to you living a very long and healthy life.

You come from a loving and supportive family and your mother was long lived, I think? You are your own boss in a job you love, and you live in a nice little house in a good area, with enough money to buy decent food, medical care, and lots of holidays, thank goodness.

All these things greatly increase your chances of a long life so I would be very surprised if you went before a hundred.

You're SUCH a cynic Honey! The massage lady wasn't after extra services - she asked me how old I was; then made the comment. And you're quite right; I have no right to grumble. I've had (and am still having) a simply wonderful life. I even enjoyed my battle with the Judicial system. But as I age I'm becoming less keen on living to a hundred. My Mum, who lasted until 91, said "you don't want to live beyond 80". As I stagger through life I'm starting to know what she meant - massage ladies or no massage ladies. Joints creak; I wheeze and stumble; forget names; am confused and find things annoying! Worst of all; I think I'm losing my sense of humour.

You need to try a massage Martin. It's wonderful. Revives muscles you thought were long dead.

Sadly I never learned, my childhood and youth was work and building dens in the woods. I once fell in a swamp which is also a factor.

I often see adults having swimming lessons at the pool, and it only takes a few sessions by the look of it.
You could do with learning, especially if you are romping around ferries plastered.

Well send the kids to bed. I'll get the Mr Matey bubble bath. We can have a 70s sing song, those the makes most bubbles wins a cigar.
