TOPIC: The madness continues...

The madness continues... 4 Years ago
Neighbours are now being told to self isolate after the signal for stupid Test'n'Trace goes through walls. It really is Alice In Wonderland. Ever since media hyped stupid Covid into a killer plague, testing people found millions caught it (with no symptoms and no ill effects). As they would do if tested for colds, flu or other infectious viruses which we all get regularly (remember "summer colds"?). As millions have to stay at home (why?), businesses collapse, travel is banned, global economies suffer... Media, of course, adores it ("25 billion Brits riddled with Covid in Bayswater alone!!!!") happily exaggerating like the Mad Hatter. Red Queens howl "off with her head". Bonkers health secretaries hiss "restrict liberty". Stupid gullibles repeat "always believe the media (and false accusers)".

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date.

I am only using the app to get away on breaks and into restaurants etc. As soon as I have swiped in a venue, I turn Bluetooth off, disabling the app.

I am not willing to be scanned everywhere I move and told to stay at home because I have walked near someone who may have it. I can't understand why anyone would be.

If this virus is as virulent as they say then we are all doing this all the time anyway.

I will not wear a mask anywhere from Monday. If shops want it on they will have to approach me and explain why - let's not make it easy for the stupidity to perpetuate. If they say it stops the spread, politely ask to be pointed to the evidence. If they insist (which they won't) go elsewhere...

If everyone calmly, politely resisted in this way it will soon pass...Let the polite rebellion begin Monday Britain.

Just don't have the app. No problem.

I have never understood why at the start of the pandemic the app didn't simply bleep if you got too close to someone for a certain length of time?

I have a basic phone, I never have problem going to places. Also I am still waiting to see people scanning QR codes at establishments.

The pandemic is pretty over it’s only the media and government keeping it alive. Since having a bad flu in December 2019 I have not had one since.
