Covid is everywhere and spreading fast, with apps "pinging" up and down the land; church bells calling the good citizens of Britain to worship isolation.

It may always have been the case, but we are just picking it up more now with ready testing. Now the app pingdemic is crippling businesses, schools & public services by forcing the well to isolate in escalating and alarming numbers.

If the risk of death is so great to the population then shut down fully again NOW. It isn't, of course, particularly now with mass vaccination.

So lockdown because of infection rates, not death rates, and be honest: we have to do this because the NHS may not have capacity to offer basic respiratory treatment (and many thousand who turn up have done do because of the terror campaign, I suspect, and don't need hospital) not because the vast majority are at serious risk.

When we have buit capacity we will re open. Sorry folks, but prefer to be honest with you at last.

But they can't admit this failure politically so continue to deliberately conflate risk of infection to risk of serious harm.

They have no idea how to get us out of this situation.

If the irresponsible media don't move on and stop daily piling pressure because of rising infection rates - the parasites no longer show the daily death rates, they are far too unsexy NOW - then unless our leaders stop letting the media run the country we will be in another pointless lockdown in a couple of weeks.

With no one, ultimately, to blame but ourselves for our servile simplicity.

Covid is not going anywhere now. We have to learn to live with it and carry on as normal.

This is all nicely timed to coincide with the traditional start of the silly season.

Why are they stopping the free covid tests?
Is it to encourage people to use the stupid app?

Hopefully to move us on...What is the point now of knowing number of infections, just treat the ill. Like with everything else.
