This is tragic, when I was stake in a club in Canada, we had to be have be very meticulous on health and safety. Who ever approved of the chairs should be named and shamed. Fuck the compensation pay-out someone should be jailed !

Why didn't they order the same model of chairs throughout the chain or try out everyone before they opened to see if the mechanisms were working as they should ? Again profit before people strikes again!

I knew pub landlords who never bothered checking their adventure playgrounds or even of fire exits. I have literally lost count of the amount of faulty swings, lose bolts on the wooden bridges, dodgy benches I have encountered. I never buy the "I'm too busy" excuse either as I was in the pub trade myself.

I never got why landlords or business get moody with insurance surveyors either the ones I met have been friendly, courteous. Yes it's expensive to install right security prevention along with other health and safety measures but it's part of the job of being a business owner.
