Someone made a joke about the holocaust years ago? Shocking. Fire him. Someone admitted denigrating disabled people years ago? Appalling! Fire him. Resignations everywhere. Talking heads pop up on TV saying "Quite right too". Jokes about genocide??? In 1998??? Chop off his testicles.

What on earth has gone wrong with humanity? Nobody cares about people dying trying to cross the channel. Nobody cares about police brutality. But huge fuss about anything that can be painted as a slogan, superficial, tabloid headline. Outrage about trivia. Ignore real crimes.

We have gone bonkers as a species. The Universe will be better without us (as, it seems, is inevitable within decades).

It is a harsh old world where none of us are allowed to escape any mistakes we have made; even decades ago...Where has forgiveness and tolerance gone? Those in the baying packs would do well to mind their pasts; they won't escape it either. They may feel confident today that they have not made such mistakes, but will discover in time that the monster of moral-policing has no limit to it's self-serving appetite. It's claws, reaching ever further, will dig bloodily into their throats one morning as they check into Twitter...
