Do you think Mr Cowell regrets selling his soul to the Pop Idol/X Factor crowd against your advice? I really like the way you just go for whatever mass appeal project tickles your ivories; and to hell with the cobsequences!

Why would he have regrets? He has made a fortune from other people.
I can't remember any winner from his bland shows but that's just me.

Really GM; you are so materialistic!
I enjoy the early stages of those shows when we are encouraged to laugh at the afflicted.....
Ah that's interesting WYOT; when Simon played me the first audition videos, laughing hysterically, my worry was the element of cruelty and mocking, plus I said "why waste valuable TV airtime on bad music when you can feature good music?". He called me a spoilsport.
Glad you liked my Kung Fu Anthem Honey (I assume you did). I put it together long before Biddu had his Kung Fu Fighting (an idea I believe he got from me and this little gem). As for I'm Over You; indeed, I put it together a couple of years ago but felt it could be perfect for this odd Asian contest. Much though many feel I should give up and retire, something keeps me going on... and on... and on...

I haven't seen X Factor for years but it was a show in two halves: first half a freak show/second half a talent contest. We don't toss dwarfs or stare at bearded ladies anymore; it is just a bit more subtle and dressed up now!
I cant bear the ridiculing and the chair nonsense so I skip the first few episodes of X Factor and watch it once the finalists are chosen.
It is all a load of nonsense of course but hugely entertaining.
I am quite looking forward to the replacement. Something along the lines of if you win your show you can either take a money prize or risk the final.

I wonder what's the next replacement for ITV to look in to. It's going to be more crap but how crap - that is the question ?
Maybe Wyot can the be the host of The Pencil Games.
