Has there ever been a more nonsensical example of twisted thinking?

Either this virus is so deadly and/or inconvenient that we need to be completely protected from it by proving we are double jabbed before doing perfectly ordinary things.

Or, it is trivial enough that we can fly where we like and bring tourists in without restrictions and we don't need to worry about mutations.

But both cant be true at the same time.

The problem is, Honey, once you accept the media hype in Wuhan ("Killer Plague - Jan 2020") you go down the wrong road and it gets madder and madder. If someone would only say "we got this dreadfully wrong from Day One." Then life could go right back to normal with Covid treated like flu; no better; no worse.

It only needs one question to be answered, "do we need to stop the virus spreading" and if the answer is yes, they would have to shut the borders, and if no, they should forget the whole thing and never speak of it again.

Most things are not black and white, but this seems to be.
A simple question turned into a never-ending farce!

Both SAGE and the Tory government are refusing to admit they've fucked up. Once the figures keep going down they will find a new football to play with for example cars and lorries.

I think you are totally spot on Honey; particularly now with vulnerables vaccinated and the NHS (if it ever was...) in no danger of collapsing. Also JK - what is required is admission of having got it so very wrong initially off the back of media hype. They will never do this though - I think I read elsewhere (on KoH) Honey that you point out if they fiddled the Covid figures up they could be fiddled down?

If that is the only way to return to sanity without losing face dearest esteemed politicians; fiddle away I say!

It reminds me of the unemployment figures I heard from people. If you were unemployed they sent you to a course ran by a third party. So you signed on with course provider and not the actual Job Centre and you did all your job hunting on the course also.

No wonder so many unemployed spent money my the pub - it was friendly place and atmosphere.
