But the athleticism and strength of these ladies are simply astonishing, in these Olympics.

Not allowed to touch the bottom or sides of the pool, or to take any outside leverage.

Yet they project themselves high into the air, from the pool - at speed and with amazing coordination.

Aquatic gymnasts deserve more credit - not least because their training pools have been unavailable.
