Milkman arrested for being a milkman 3 Years, 12 Months ago

I know he could have given his details, but if the police are going to be so ridiculous, how can we co-operate and encourage the nonsense?

I am supportive of thick people. They cant help the way they are, but why are we letting them be police officers?

A milkman is, to be fair, a pretty good cover for an early morning burglar...

I was stopped twice by Police walking from a night out in the City to my home town about 10 miles out (I didn't have the money for a taxi and had lost my friends - probably some girl's fault for pestering me; I was a gorgeous thing back then...)

My crime? Walking home through a pricey area at 3am and being young. This was in the days when Police would have some kind of presence on the street.

Now, in some areas, they won't leave the station if you have been burgled unless there is forensic at the scene; or someone is stood in front of you holding an axe...

I remember my sisters getting lifted homes from the police. They used to overspend their booze money and they dipped in to the bus or taxi fare money.

I'm sure the police sent them home because of their awful singing in the street, not stumbling home whilst they looked like something from The Magic Roundabout.

Buying a milk float and a huge stack of full milk bottles as a decoy would be going a bit far.

I was once stopped while driving home at 10:30pm. The police were looking for a suspected murderer.
The WPC that stopped me was probably younger than my socks, but her parting remark made me laugh.
She said "aren't you out a bit late for someone your age". I was 65 at the time.

It would seem Jamie the Police are happiest only with those aged between 30 & 60 being on the streets between 10pm & 6am. Perhaps SAGE can work out how to achieve this with Autumn Covid restrictions?!

This is why having known police officers for each place is essential. We had some until quite recently ( gone downhill since) and they took no notice of me walking in the middle of the night etc because they already knew me.
Now I am conscious that I might be questioned at any time.

A local policeman would already know who the milkman was.

Don't give SAGE ideas.

It's disgusting how Australia is treating their citizens and some states have gone back to mask mandates. It's actually nice to be back to 'normal'. Sadly we will never be back to normal fully and something is making a mint from PCR tests.
