Afghanistan and more media stupidity 3 Years, 11 Months ago
We all know that many countries contain people unsatisfied by life where they are, wanting to move to the Green Grass of Western societies (which often turn out to be not as nice as media told them). I've always said these misguided hopefuls should be allowed in because it's time to look after humanity rather than individual races. But now we see Afghans desperate to arrive in the West and suddenly media is saying YES - let them in - we must support these poor people fleeing oppression.

Hang on. We are happily drowning people fleeing Syria or Libya or Sudan or everywhere else. We don't care about the Rohinga escaping brutality in Burma. We'd quite like to extinguish those vile Calais campers. Yet now we are urging Governments to let millions from Afghanistan into different Western countries.

I really do not understand humanity anymore. The media is ruled by a desire for a GREAT STORY and doesn't care whether or not it makes no sense at all. Yes, I reckon let anyone who wants to come here settle and contribute and help the UK flourish. But I simply cannot understand why Afghan refugees are more worthy than Sudanese or Rohinga ones. Apart from MEDIA inflating a great story, that is. But are punters really so stupid as to fall for this, unquestioning?

Answer, sadly, YES!

Yes I saw "Talk Radio" polls yesterday showing over 50% saying more Afghan refugees should come than 20 000 but a general poll about "boat people" migrating with about 12% support! I suppose there is a sense of recent responsibility with Afghanistan. But still...

You see the problem is - people say "we were responsible" or "the USA was responsible" but they know nothing other than media coverage and even then usually only headlines or slogans. It's meaningless anyway. We are just as responsible for allowing those ghastly soldiers in Burma to kill innocent children or those ghastly Iranians to lock up innocent women or those ghastly North Koreans not to play by our rules or those ghastly Africans to starve. We allowed ghastly Nazis to kill Jews and gays until we decided to step in. And we allow ghastly false accusers, ghastly police and ghastly lawyers, judges and jurors to lock people up (and sometimes kill them) over fake claims often made in order to grab compensation, drugs or sympathy.

It's a ghastly world, innit? Or, rather, we've become a truly ghastly species. Except those nice Vegans of course, who reckon it's alright to kill carrots and potatoes as they don't make noise whilst being tortured, and they are allowed to value life forms according to what their eyes, ears and noses tell their tiny little brains.

Biden isn't a complete failure. That makes as much sense as saying he is a complete success. No one is either. This is the Republican mantra: slow-Joe/senile. Drum it in/get Trump in.

What is surprising perhaps is that the ageism doesn't trigger a reaction. Why not? It is a protected characteristic in law as much as colour, sexuality or gender (well only in theory if you are a male; Misandry is not challenged anywhere and female comedians are free to joke about "men" on TV still).

But perhaps it is not surprising if you think about "woke" not as about equality or respect but political activism. A handful of trans people are far louder than billions of the elderly, or male.

Biden is a complete failure and so is Harris. She just wants him gone, so she and Nancy Pelosi can drive USA to the ground even more.

It's the first thing they have been able to pin on Joe Biden which is ridiculous as it's all down to the last guy (and boy is that going to get really bad for him..from what I'm hearing from media pals)

The fact is Americans are very insular and the tragedies of Afghanistan will be forgotten within 6 months.

The real problem is China & Russia will be steaming in there ( the wealth under the ground) and bizarrely the US & UK have given Putin the foothold Russia never got when they invaded Afghanistan.

Make no mistake: Joe Biden is president ( and if he lives) will be re-elected.

He's backed by Capitalist billionaires and Wall Street & they love him which is why it's at all time record High.

Trump claimed to be some sort of genius but he is is absolutely ignorant to how the economy works because it's all about HIM.

Biden will continue to pump $Trillions into the economy and the Upper Richest Class ( only a selfish handful supported Trump for the tax cuts and bugger everyone else) will Love Joe Biden ( Kamala Harris not so much but she got the black vote)

Biden is the Capitalist's dream President.

I like Biden who stands for far more of the same things I consider important and am not keen on Trump - never have been. But I admire Trump's ability to fight the media without fear. Trump is a winner (mainly because he mastered the method of simplifying everything and using slogans). I think Trump will win again in three years. Let's see, Hedda.
