TOPIC: Witness For The Prosecution

Witness For The Prosecution 2 Years, 8 Months ago
Just watched this (for the tenth time - every one a joy). Laughton a marvel; Marlene magnificent (even knowing the plot I didn't recognise her and every time I am proud she once sang my songs and called me a poet and a genius to my face). But Agatha Christie was a far better writer than she is ever given credit for.

Really enjoyed the theatre version I saw in London a couple of years back.

Back for a new run on the London stage in just a couple of weeks - virtually coinciding with Agatha Christie's birthday.

At London County Hall on the South Bank. The redundant Council chamber give a unique feel to the court proceedings.

Yes that's where we saw it too Barney; the County Hall setting is a stroke of genius. Thoroughly enjoyable show.

Yes. The perfect bridge for the young (14ish) to develop their reading skills into adulthood.

And to encounter suspicion, because little is what it seems - as all us senior people can verify.
