On BBC News today, the articulate, intelligent Mother of a Down's syndrome 2 year old was just sensational explaining why the law on abortion needs to be changed. It is time society reflected that individuals are all members of the species and nobody should be considered inferior just because they are different.

Abortion should be illegal unless there is risk to child's health !

Most women who support abortion are usually Antifa Karen's or the overweight women who will never be pricked.

Well no, it is nearly all women. And men.


It would not be my choice, but I wont condemn anyone for choosing something that is not only legal, but actively encouraged.

If, as most believe (not me) the foetus is not a person, then it should be nobody's business what your reasons are. If you want to abort all boys, all girls, hare-lipped babies, down syndrome babies, those with big noses, whatever, it should be entirely your choice.

Otherwise, why are we aborting at all?

There is the issue of abortion per se which I am unsure about if I am honest. But what this case today raises for me is why is there a different abortion law for down syndrome foetuses; who can be aborted right up to the due date?

The law itself draws a distinction between "normal" and "abnormal" babies and so fosters prejudice and fear.

It is not a question of a life threatening condition (shortening maybe; but so what - we all live shortened lives from the perspective of a giant land turtle...) So is it cost of care? Well let's provide more support and spread understanding.

It's barbaric.

To me and my social circles a foetus is an unborn human not a parasi.
