The BBC has subtly altered the on screen description of "Covid deaths" - to read someone who has died for any reason but tested positive for Covid 28 days earlier. So someone who had it like flu three weeks ago and got hit by a bus is a Covid victim. Really, BBC, Government and media - you think we're all brain dead? Most of us are. Neither the time nor inclination to think about anything other than "what's for dinner?".

I think the BBC & Gov have judged the intellect of the majority pretty accurately...
I suspect it has even surprised them how easy the twitter generation is to manipulate...

I’ve noticed this too but it often comes at a heavy personal cost. Grant Shapps, for example, appears to have aged within weeks with bags under the eyes, a seemingly permanent furrowed brow and rapidly receding hairline. Seeing him on the television two nights ago reminded me of something the psychologist, Dorothy Rowe said about Tony Blair:

Tony Blair knew he could charm everyone into agreeing to an invasion of Iraq. When most of the country turned against him, his puzzlement and confusion showed on his face that had always shone with a boyish gloss. But the boyish confidence disappeared, and he visibly aged within weeks.
