Which planet was he on months ago when other politicians were evidently raising concerns?

No one knows what this Labour Party stands for - this Tory government is actually centre left. Then again Boris is following orders from Davos.

Businesses I’ve spoke to in Scotland and actually across the UK are tearing their hair out on that uncertainty because the government is saying to them ‘prepare for this, prepare for that’. But they don’t know what they’re preparing for.

Their strong message to me is get the deal done. That’s what you promised. End the uncertainty and let us get on with the preparation. They’re equally clear that no deal would be a very bad outcome and a complete failure of the government.

This isn’t listening or rational decision-making that weighs things up and considers the consequences, it’s reacting to emotions.

On the eve of the Labour conference if the party don't pick up in the polls they should jack it in.

With our number of Covid deaths (the totally avoidable ones), the energy, petrol and food shortages and naked incompetence and corruption of this Gov, if they can't make gains now they never will.

Starmer's essay? I started to read about it & fell asleep; couldn't get beyond the vacant platitudes. You have a serious brain and charisma by-pass if you think an essay is going to connect you with "the people"...

The tragedy is we have needed strong opposition badly for some time now...The Labour party is so unhealthy for the country; whatever one's politics.

And has a deputy leader who uses the word "scum" to describe the PM without apologising. Classless; crass.

Close the party down get Corbyn & Clegg back (or whoever the new versions of them may be) to start a new broad church centre left/liberal party.

I felt sorry for Theresa May, she tried to please everyone and she did her best with a minority government. She wouldn't of caved in to lockdowns or try and scrap people welfare benefits. I am sure she would of tried to work with Biden. I thought she was a good Home Secretary also.

The conference hasn't even started and Labour is over.

Starmer will be remembered for saying that men can have a cervix after penning an essay to engage blue collar Essex man. Conference says less white men should ask questions (the delegates look 90% white to me from the pic).

www.gbnews.uk/news/too-many-white-men-pu...elegates-told/132622

Dignified elder statesmen Corbyn defends deputy leader for calling Tory cabinet ministers "scum".

For God's sake the country is falling spart and we need strong opposition...

I have noticed that we are speaking about Starmer in the same way as we do about my friend's boy who has mental issues and is being left with no help in case somebody catches covid.
He spouts increasingly strange ideas,(the boy) but because it has happened little by little and crept up on us, everyone just says oh there goes Malcolm talking bullshit again, and takes no notice.

Why do people actually vote ?

Why do politicians only care about the working classes at the run up to elections then forget about them ?

Why do people believe think their votes makes a difference ?

The Labour party has tied itself in knots; they have no idea what they are for or which battles to fight or enemies to make. They just have a moronic empty brand that they are the "good guys". Hence resorting to calling the "bad guys" "scum" and being ok with doing so.

It is that stupid and empty.

If Starmer had said when ambushed "of course no man in history has had a cervix" and stopped writing masturbatory incestuous essays to his metro elite chums; he would have taken one tiny step in engaging the voters he needs.

Instead he runs terrified of the wilder fringes of the trans lobby & said something I can almost guarantee he does not believe through fear of offending anyone (as if people have some kind of fucking right never to be offended).

Starmer needs to grow a pair...so to speak...

Seems to that that the only thing that Labour are concerned about are a ladies cervix.

Are the Labour Party full of gynaecologists or just moronic twats in general ?

Keir is a like that striker in football who always misses the empty net, Tories are in a mess and both Libs and Labour can take full advantage of the Tories but NO ! I did like Ed Davey but then he became too involved in the PC pro-noun rubbish. Stop pandering to the minorities for fuck sake !

Tories are not conservative nor libertarian - to see what a libertarian looks like it's Toby Keith.

Boris went to USA and left empty handed - the only successful deals Boris are with his family or closest friends. He has no allies.

I wish they WERE more concerned about cervixes, actually. And toilets, Women's sports, prisons, changing rooms, saunas, refuges, and everywhere else that we DO NOT WANT "persons of penis" shoving themselves into.
