Why did our Gov cut duty on internal flights this week? Why do plastic bottles remain legal?

People will buy less plastic bottles if they did something about hard water areas. Where I live is terrible and those water filters get clogged and do get costly.

Even Politian's use single use plastic bottles not forgetting using cars for short journeys.

Yes GM there is no join between words and actions. Like Covid the politicians just spout what they feel they have to; don face masks only when the cameras appear because it is all theatre. Fishing wars with France? Why don't Johnson & Macron just ban deep sea trawling instead which wrecks eco systems and releases loads of carbon? Yes some people would lose work and they might lose a few votes. Single use plastic items - up 300% compared to pre panicdemic levels with pointless daily disposable masks and plastic gloves. Where are the virtuous Beeb on this? They don't actually give a shit. COP 26 is just something they have to do or get crucified by the pious hoards. And whatever people think about Greta good on her for saying so. Someone needs to be in that role.

It is not so much the plastic that is a problem, but that they can recycle it but don't bother.
Every disposable nappy ever used is still in a landfill somewhere, apparently.

We need something huge and revolutionary like people making food from scratch, not buying clothes until they wear out, using cloth nappies, having a deposit on glass bottles, and pure fresh drinking water coming straight from the tap that doesn't taste like donkey wee.
