I mean scientists, medical researchers etc as they still don't know if this virus can mutate into other forms.

It's taken 100 years to fully understand and control Influenza but even then, 10,000s die each year even when vaccinated.

Mother Nature again saying she's in charge not us.

Yep and the question is then how do we respond? What is proportionate given the harm that will be caused by this virus Vs the harm that will be caused by restrictions?

This is not a question scientists are any more qualified to answer than you or I Hedda.

It is a public health policy question; not a question about if or how a virus spreads or might be controlled - that, yes, is for scientists.

They may be right or wrong; great or deluded but don't let the politicians hide behind "The Science".

Locking down Melbourne or London isn't science.

I did play Duke in the truck yesterday now taking Trespass for days travels for work.

We went out yesterday for a meal - the first time really in two years, not counting the odd casual cafe visit - and my god I hated it. Restaurants complain about the financial challenges they face: well, yes, but they should try coping by being welcoming rather than just sneaking in extra service charges whilst looking miserable. We didn't feel remotely welcome, had to wait ages for any service at all, and on top of that had to endure idiots coughing all around as if we were in some flu clinic. I guess I've completely lost that frame of mind needed to cope with such things, but now I just can't be bothered.

Always demand for the service charges to be removed and ask for a drinks guide. I love eating out and shopping in actual high streets. (sending stuff back is a pain online, then wait days for a fucking refund) Maybe because I am an extrovert so I like being social or that I being trapped indoors.
