Finally got to see the new Wes Anderson; I'm a big Wes fan; love his style, humour and visual approach. I really liked this. Loved the first hour, then it flags a bit (sadly in the Timotheeee/Frances segment which I was looking forward to); picks up once more. His scripts are hilarious (if you share his humour). Every single frame is a work of art but check out the end credits! The amount of carpenters and painters he uses made DUNE look low budget. How on earth he gets funding, God knows - there was only one other customer in the screening I went to this morning. But I always thoroughly enjoy his films. And am delighted there is clearly, like him or not, a genuine craftsman with an original vision in the world of movies. I hope I am one too but that's not for me to say.
