Instead of holding the parents responsible for the actions of their son, why don't we hold a sick society responsible? One that in parts worships lethal weapons and makes them easy to buy?
The blame game becomes more desperate and intense in times like these, after a huge number of rules and regulations are introduced with harsh penalties and zero tolerance. It’s easy for those at the top levels of the hierarchy to pass the buck when things go wrong, without any thought of consequence. As the buck is passed along the fear snowballs and intensifies. It’s not until it reaches the very end with no where else to go that “forces are unleashed” with terrifying consequences. It’s similar to putting things down a drainpipe. The consequences are never seen or felt at source. They reveal themselves only after a build-up occurs, further down the pipe.

What about them GM? I wouldn't encourage worship of them (as weapons) either. Yes they are needed as tools; but guns aren't. Not the same argument.
Actually guns are tools especially for farmers, pest control, home defence. Anything can be a weapon Wyot, I remember about 20 years ago some was murdered by one of those wooden chip forks, he was stabbed with it in Blackpool. There were stabbings in the 80's with pens where people were murdered. Drivers and cyclists also kill people.

I know guns can be used as tools (and I am not trying to attack the people who responsibly use them for sport) but, let's be frank GM, this isn't why urban (and rural non farmers) folk have rifles in their basements all over parts of the US...
And just look at the shootings. There us a huge fucking problem there...

Probably best to get rid of the problem that leads to people shooting each other. Mostly drugs apparently?
