The Travel Industry is right; the stupid (global) over reaction is ruining travel. Normally I like to spend the horrid British winters in the sunshine, swimming 5 hours a day in the hot sun. I reckon I've had an extra 20 years of life from this habit. This year (like 2020) - no travel. Even when I tried (March 2021) to go to Marrakech in Morocco, I was held in transit and sent back to Europe (the KENT variant which I think became DELTA). So it's Xmas in London again. I just hope my health can cope.

Why aren't we all tested for colds or flu? Because it would be STUPID. Why haven't we locked down to stop the MORONIC last variant? Because it would be STUPID. Why are we stopping people from travelling? Because it's STUPID. Infectious diseases will spread globally. Don't try to stop them. Treat them. Protect the vulnerable.

I like the direction of this argument GM. The more I read about this situation the more it is evident that the majority of fatalities are a result of over indulgence and greed in the developed world: from de-forestation, to gross over eating and the diseases it creates.

Our way of life is the problem (a modest problem, overblown by the press, but a problem) and the solution sits with us: not flappy cloth masks and pretending a PCR check for travellers will solve a bloody thing...

Help the obese get moving and start respecting our planet. Or the planet will properly deal with us soon.
