TOPIC: Assange
#216089
Assange 3 Years, 7 Months ago
Obviously I'm going to support Assange due to the fact that "they" initially tried to get him by using the False Allegations Industry. I do think the US argument (that the "suicide" excuse could open the doors for hundreds of extradition avoidance seekers) is fair and probably warrants the judgement. But I think Assange should not only NOT be extradited but should be released from the illegal prison capture. Just as those hundreds STILL held under "indeterminate sentence" should be released immediately. In fact it is a democratic disgrace they are NOT free men and women.

I've more sympathy for him than he seems to have had for the informants whose identities he disclosed but think it's fair enough, assuming he's mentally fit, for him to face trial in the US for compromising US security. Have always suspected he was a Russian stooge. He had a show on Russia Today and as far as I'm aware Wikileaks only ever focussed on the US and the West. Not a peep about Russia's activities in Chechnya, for example.

The Treachery of Julian Assange

"Well, they're informants," Assange replied. "So, if they get killed, they've got it coming to them. They deserve it."

I don't know enough to make a judgement on Assange Jo, but I believe I DO know enough about the process to feel he should NOT be in jail (and neither should the thousands of Indeterminate Sentence victims).
