TOPIC: Stephen Port
#216093
Stephen Port 3 Years, 7 Months ago
There are many disgraceful aspects of this tragedy but the current one is yet further proof that senior police officers protect their own. Whether they are determined killers like Wayne Couzens (had he not been so unavoidably stupid) or Port or accidental killers due to incompetence or attempting to pervert the course of justice, like Surrey Police, they will be protected and defended by the bosses.

They are doing it again! Turning the Stephen Port tragedy into an ANTI-GAY story (like BLM and MeToo) instead of a general police malaise. There is very little homophobia but enormous incompetence, lack of guidance and protection by senior officers.

Another great example for the post I put up yesterday. People are only concerned with appearing to others to be concerned with one good cause or another; not the real issues.

I was just going to start a new thread on this subject....... I feel so distressed about this case. Acknowledging the Police are "overstretched" is a disgraceful excuse (just mentioned on BBC as a possible EXCUSE)

I wonder how many people know the number of Officers wasted on Operation Yewtree? historical nonsense put before murdered young people, all current crimes in fact. One day a public enquiry will show how many lives were lost or destroyed because the Police (nationally) were ruled by Yewtree wasting precious Police time and in this case prevented from saving lives.

Absolutely WYOT (incidentally your post yesterday was excellent) - the result of this (like Cressida Dick must be fired - bollocks) is that nothing changes because the simplified cries of protest lead to nothing except superficial stupidity (statues being removed) and the real problems go on and get worse. COVID is a prime example of this. Test everyone for the common cold or flu and hundreds of thousands would be positive with mild symptoms - a few (150 a day?) might also "die within 28 days of a positive result" but life would go on as normal. Everywhere.
