Our dear PM, Master of Media Manipulation, announces that one patient has died with the Omicron variant.

What really worries me about this is that the announcement came from Boris Johnson himself; indicating he is trying to keep the PanicDemic going. An expert on TV just said "this proves Omicron is NOT a mild virus - it is a killer". Oh for God's sake, do they really all think we are as stupid as the Gullibles? People die with a cold or flu or a cut finger every day, every hour, every second. WE DO HAVE BRAINS!!!

"with" not "of" again!
The truth is probably in the middle.
It would appear milder in South Africa because they apparently have a younger demographic who are infected, so far.

So I expect it is milder, because that is how viruses evolve, but probably not as mild as they first made out when they were justifying not controlling it coming into the country.
