Media happily announces No More Restrictions before Christmas but Christmas is tomorrow! Do they really think we are all stupid? They do indeed.

My doctor's receptionists swear that they have been told that there is a two week lockdown from next week and their shifts have been reduced accordingly.

So if everyone is anticipating it, it will happen even of nothing happens, if you see what I mean?

Of course, if other people want to be locked down they are welcome to do it to themselves, but there seems to be a peculiar delight in locking other people up that I cant understand.

I think the majority will take no notice of it if there is another lockdown. Support for one has gone from 80 something last year to 20 something percent now I read earlier. Even the slowest have realised omicron is not dangerous and those that want vaccination have received it. What now can be the possible justification? It is for the Gov to make sure the NHS can cope with seasonal colds and viruses, not us.

30 guests have arrived so far and my 2 daughters from Nassau are here.

My ex and her fiance are also here. Flew in by a private plane, arranged by my partner and my ex. I don't need presents but friend's and family make perfect Christmases.

My partner's father has fleet of private planes. So he jetted off in the early hours to pick up my daughters.

Luckily I space for some of guests and some are camping out out in my back yard. Tubs and his brothers are loving it.

Just a quick message before prepping food.

I knew him since were kids, we didn't go to school together or live near each other. He saw my sister get picked on at a bus stop. She has minor learning difficulties and a heart of gold. Tubs intervened to stick up for her and stood up a group of larger lads. When he got whacked on the face, his older and brothers witnessed it on the bus they were waiting for.

So Tubs and his brothers the lads were having a brawl !

After they escourted my sister home, the oldest of Tubs brothers explained to my parents what happened. I was called downstairs with a head full of cold. My parents made me, Tubs and his brothers kindalike minders for my sister.

However where me and Tubs are near enough the same age and shared common interests we became friends very quickly. I like his brothers also but as they older we didn't hang them around too much back in the day but they would come around to my house with Tubs.

My parents liked Tubs and his brothers, and my father would hire them sometimes for extra bar staff or bouncers. When I moved to America at 16 I was writing letters back home or making long distance phone calls. And Tubs would always the be the first one to write back before my parents. He saved up all his money to fly to New York City to see me.

When I moved to Canada and worked in the late 80's to open a club with a group of co-workers for a few years, I was the first to sell my share of the place. I went back to Ireland, I found out that Tubs was doing what I was doing.

I bought a pub/club outright with the money I got from the Canada club in the England. However it was short lived because of the accountant I hired (former maths teacher) was fiddling the books and did a runner. So I was punished but did my time but was out early (good behaviour and a techinality).

When I came out of prison, Tubs was the first to offer me a job and his club and place to live, until I got myself sorted. It took a while to bounce back but I did it. Tubs would pay me extra, if I stayed in to clean the club after the night was done. So I have saved every penny I could to get my own place and premises.

Without Tubs helping me out I have no idea what would become of me after prison. It was hard to gain trust of people for something I never did.

Since I have done my tax returns I have never had any problems. When I worked in USA for the second time. I had no issue with the I.R.S but got a healthy tax rebates. . The novelty of USA was getting boring.

So I used the rebate money to set up a private nightclub in Latvia, with my brother in law' which again I sold my share for a handsome profit. However I made great social circles in the USA and still in contact with people I'd met over 30 years ago.

I still have my shares in a Chilean vineyard which I sell next year as I had an offer. So I will go there with a lawyer to seal the deal.

I love what I do now being a sales rep for wine and beer and delivering the stuff to clubs, pubs and private households. If there is another lockdown I will be finished. I only survived lockdowns because I had savings which went untouch for years. I can't wait to retire in over 10 years.
