Can anyone explain this fuss? Just because she missed out the word JUST (the Holocaust was not JUST about race)? Or do gays, gypsies and all the others just not matter?

Or is it my BUGBEAR of this Century, simplification? That humanity refuses to look in depth and only thinks and reacts to tabloid headlines and slogans?

I think she did make a category error specifically by saying that the targeting of the Jews was not about race. The JUST allows you to make a good point about the extent of Nazi targeting ; but I don't think she missed the word out - she was just a bit ignorant.

But why can't she be? She had no malice; intended to cause no offence. What I hate is the moral outrage bandwagon. Why can't anyone just make an honest mistake any more and apologise without the baying for their blood?

It is so unhealthy for society.

I think in the current atmosphere it was a mistake but she was correct. The Nazis targeted all their perceived foes "equally"..the disabled,Slavs, the mentally disabled, Romany, socialists, communists, Jews and so on. Jews were basically the majority of their perceived enemies.

## of course by deporting all Jews including those in the various medical fields Germans had to put up with rotten teeth during WW2 as the majority of German dentists were Jewish. So clever.

Are Jews a race? All I recall with a Jewish mother (very irreligious) which entitles me to claim to be Jewish, being with two (other) blonde pals at the Hammersmith Odeon once and a (then) very famous Goodie walked by and quipped "Hitler would have loved those 3".
